The Optify Reports application provides several default reports, as well as the capability to create and save custom reports. This section will discuss the various types of reports that can be used and customized.

 

Traffic reports

Filters pane

The traffic report filters pane allows you to filter the data displayed in your report.

  • Select report allows you to select from the entire list of default and custom reports
  • Date range allows you to choose the time frame for the report.
  • Group by presents a list of criteria you can choose for sorting the visits in the table pane.
  • Source allows you to choose only the sources you are interested in for display in the report.
  • Add filter allows you to add more advanced filters to the filter pane.
  • Save As let you save a copy of the current report and latest filters
  • Save is only available on reports you have created and will update the original report.

Summary pane

The Summary pane shows you the visits to your website and leads generated over the specified timeframe.

  • Total visits shows the number of visitors to your website during the specified timeframe.
  • New leads shows the number of leads generated from those visits.
  • Conversion rate shows the percent of your visitors that became leads. Conversion rate = New leads divided by Total visits
  • Pageviews shows the number of pages on your website that were viewed during the timeframe. 

Chart pane

The Chart pane shows Leads and Visits through time. The graph also lets you add Activities so that you can visually see the impact of your marketing efforts.

Clicking on one of the blue bars indicating Leads will display the visitors that became leads in that time frame.

Table pane

The Table pane displays the report results, grouped as specified with the Group by filter. In the screenshot above, the results are grouped by Source.

 

  • Source shows the list of sources of Visits and Leads.
    • Direct are visitors that arrived by typing your web address (URL) directly into their browser.
    • Email reports visits that resulted from clicking a link in an email.
    • Facebook and Linkedin display visitors that arrived by following a link from within those websites.
    • Organic Search visitors arrived via the free search results in the major search engines.
    • Paid Search visitors arrived via paid cost-per-click (CPC) campaign within the major search engines. Learn more about how Optify identifies paid search traffic.
    • Referral are visitors that arrived by following a link from another website. 
    • Twitter are visitors that arrived via clicking a link in Twitter. 
  • Visits shows the number of visitors to your website from each Source
  • New leads shows the Leads that were generated by each Source.
  • Conversion shows the conversion rate from Visit to Lead for each Source. Conversion = Leads divided by Visits
  • Pageviews shows the total number of Pageviews from each Source.

Keyword reports

The keyword report filters pane allows you to filter the data displayed in your report.

  • Select report allows you to select from the entire list of default and custom reports
  • Date range allows you to choose the time frame for the report.
  • Group by allows you to rollup your data by lists you have created or by your competitors
  • Filter by list allows you to select from the keyword lists you created in the Keyword application.
  • Rank allows you to filter your keywords to only show those in a specific rank range.
  • Save As let you save a copy of the current report and latest filters
  • Save is only available on reports you have created and will update the original report.

Summary pane

The Summary pane shows you details of the selected set of keywords over the specified timeframe.

  • Keywords shows the number of keywords that match your selected filters and timeframe.
  • Ranking URLs shows the number of unique page URLs that are linked from your filtered set of keywords.
  • Avg rank shows the average search engine rank of the filtered set of keywords
  • % in rank will be displayed when the data is grouped by list or competitor and shows the percent of your filtered keywords that rank in the selected range
  • Avg monthly searches shows the average number of searches for the filtered set of keywords. 

Chart pane

The Chart pane shows ranks over time. Hovering over the trend lines or the plotted points will show details on the keyword, date and rank. 

Table pane

The Table pane displays the list of filtered keywords, lists or competitors. The checkboxes on the left side indicate which items will be charted. When viewing ungrouped keyword data, the top 5 keywords will be automatically selected but you may change the selected keywords or add up to 10 keywords to chart. 

  • Rank shows the the keyword ranking based on the selected search engine
  • Monthly searches shows the number of internet searches for that keyword over a 30 day period
  • Ranking URL is displayed when keyword data is ungrouped and shows the URL that the keyword links to on your site. Click the link to open the Page Detail for that page.
    • — If the page is not associated with the ranking keyword, you will be given the option of adding it to the Optimize With list in the Page Detail page.
    • — If the Pages application is not tracking the page, clicking the link will say so and give you the option of adding it to the list of tracked pages.
  • % in Rank is displayed when the keyword data is grouped by competitor or list and shows the percent of those keywords that rank in the selected range
